Is Mnandi still the best small knife?

I have large Sebenza, but start finding it being too big. I like something small.
I wonder if I should get myself Mnandi or there is something more convenient, beautiful and practical? I like Wenger (Victorinox) too. Wonder if there are other options
Looking only at folders
Thanks

The Islam Blackstar V2 caught my eye after I saw one on the exchange. 2.5” blade. It’s very interesting in that it has a double detent instead of a true lock.

The one that was on the exchange is now on it’s way to me…

Impinda?

I rarely carry my Mnandi, I sometimes question to why I purchased it.
Wonder what you don’t like about Mnandi?
I find shorter, thinner and narrower blade more convenient for use, so small Sebenza or Impinda won’t meet this requirement

It never was. I’d trade a Mnandi against a Halftrack any time.

And welcome. Might want to post in the CRK forum instead.

I have an arno bernard rinkhals that I've been carrying the last month or two - very much influenced by the mnandi and i strongly prefer it... i haven't carried my small seb more than once since getting the rinkhals either

It certainly is one of the best.

Here’s something to consider. I have a rather large hand and sometimes with small blades with locks, especially frame locks, it gets a little cumbersome. Sometimes I can get a spasm in my hand from trying to control such a small lock . I often find it easier to carry a slip joint and not worry about one hand opening. Small knives the size of the Mnandi are meant for small tasks, and so personally I feel a lock is nice but not necessary. That being said, if you want a small modern folder with a clip and lock, it’s really hard to beat the Mnandi

I own a Spyderco Techno 2 and I think that it is also one of the best “small” knives on the market but is definitely bulkier and not as pretty as the Mnandi (more utilitarian) but for guys like me with bigger hands, the Techno 2 fills the hand better and is definitely easier to operate. Even with it’s thick girth, the Techno 2 still fits in my 5th pocket.

Here’s my Mnandi playing dumb games with the big boys….

Best is extremely subjective, but the Mnandi is certainly a great knife. A well refined small folder with a great blade shape. Mine has become the centerpiece of my EDC, and other knives are added as needed/wanted for any given days tasks. I prefer the stronger clip some others didn't like, and the over all shape of the knife fits my hand well.
