Hello. I noticed on the "How much have you spent on a knife" thread that some of us have paid well over 1,000 for a knife. I am not critisizing these people. Personally, I would rather own 10 1,000$ knives than 1 $10,000 knife. Even if I had more money than I knew what to do with. (I think).

There is a fine line, obviously.

I'd rather own one $200 Mean Street than four or five Delica's. Nothing in this is to slant other knives. I like the Delica's.
However, I'd rather have a couple three Busse's etc, than a $1,500 dollar one of a kind custom. For me it's quality AND quanity.

One without the other is kinda meaningless.

Do it right,or not at all.

Too me it all depends on how bad you want the knife you are considering.

Many moons ago I started off my knife collection and about 10 bills was my limit, then a couple years later 25 bucks was my limit, gradually my limit get getting hirer. Now, I choke to even say what I recently spent in the last couple of months, let alone on a single knife!

Until just recently I would never have thought I would spend as much as I have done now on a single or pair of knives than I just did, I really didn't think it would be worth it. But, I proved myself wrong!

I guess the point is, if you want that knife bad enough, you'll pay, and pay dearly too!
