Hey guys, was just fiddlin around with my 25 and noticed there was a black mark on the inside of my left scale. My 25 is a bit off center, but there's still light between the scale and the blade. Is it possible that the blade might still be rubbing? I'd assume if it rubbed at all, it would have to be if I open the knife with my left hand.

It is hard to tell without inspecting it in person. Considering the mark is on the non locking side where the blade is off center towards, it may be rubbing. Put your ear up to it when you open and close it and listen for a rub.
Just make sure you don't slice your ear open ;)

why don't you use a sharpie or some other kind of marker on the blade right around where you think is rubbing, if some of the marker is gone after you open it and close it a few times, then you'll have your answer, hope it helps.

If that is what is happening you're really the only one here that can answer that question. :p The blade could easily be pushed over and is contacting the inside of the scale just from being in your pocket, it doesn't really have to be from opening. :)

I'll try that, thanks :)
Can't see/hear anything happening when I open/close it
But like Haze it could be happening in my pocket or just from anything else.

I'll keep an eye on it. If there's a problem I can always send it in.

Loving the 25 otherwise!
Thanks guys

That doesn't look like the blade would cause a mark like that right there. To me at least. So I'd say no for the blade rubbing

Titanium mars easily. That mark could have come from just about anything.

If it IS rubbing on the blade, then the blade would also have a scuff in the same area. It could be a line in the form of an arc. I had a Zaan that did this. But, you may be able to center your blade by loosening the 2 smaller screws and the pivot screw. Then, put something between the blade and the scale, folded paper or the like, to push the blade away from the problem area. next, retighten the 2 smaller screws, and then the pivot (or reverse that combination, just whichever works), back to where they should be. Remove the paper, and your blade should be centered. Try that, and let us know if it works :)
