Benchmade Is my Benchmade Mini Griptilian 556 Fake?

Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased my first Benchmade knife (Mini Griptilian 556) on eBay and suddenly came across a youtube video of someone showing counterfeit benchmade knives.

The counterfeit knife came in the same box that I received (see photos) and but I also seen some unboxing videos with that same thin box. So I am a bit lost if Benchmade only uses the tough hard blue box or is it possible they have changed to the soft thinner blue box over the years.

I would appreciate y'all feedback. Thank you.

He's telling you the knife is real, but that you should stick to reputable knife dealers so you don't have to question your next knife.

Genuine, for sure. Old "Coffin" style box discontinued a few years ago.

The knife is G2G..great little blade, indeed.

Nothing wrong with using ebay as long as you know how to properly use it, but using a big knife site would definitely give you some peace of mind if you arent sure.

That looks like a legit Mini Grip. Like others have suggested, eBay isn't the best place to buy knives, very easy to get a fake. Better thing to do is to buy from knife sites. Or if you prefer to buy used get them from the exchange here.

And I agree that eBay is a subpar place to buy knives due to the fact that it's loaded with fakes.

Thank you all very much for your input! I emailed the photos to Benchmade customer service today and they confirmed the knife is authentic. The box I received was a older version that was changed few years ago as Ickythumb mentioned.
