Is my framelock going too far right?

I recently purchased a ZT 0566BW brand new, and I noticed that the framelock goes further than what I've seen before. I don't know if this is a flaw or a design issue. The frame is covering 50-66% of the blade. It does seem to be effecting the action of the flipper, but I'm not sure. Could anyone else with a 0566 help me with this?

Looks fine to me. Some people actually prefer later lockups! If there's any problem, I'm sure ZT will help out.

How is the lockup affecting the flipping action?

It feels like the frame is pressing against the blade harder than it should, thus the action has more resistance to overcome. Like I said before, I can't be sure that's the case. I'm gonna try some tuf-glide or nano oil and see what happens after that. But thank you for your input! Puts me at ease a little haha

Looks fine to me. I don't start to worry until 75-80%. Oil up the detent track if you feel it's needed, but make sure you don't oil the lock face. That will make the lock travel more and give you lock stick issues.

Looks about perfect to me I've never liked very early or late lock ups

Many decent folders will go to a position on the tang and then not move hardly at all for many moons.
e.g. Sebenza
Chris Reeves likes his Sebenzas to be about 80%, when they are NEW. They don't move much at all.

Early lock ups are more of issue then later lock ups IMO... I wouldnt worry unless theres blade play

This is my philosophy as well. I don't care what % the lockup is as long as there is no bladeplay.

I would love lockup like that.

I think you'll be fine, man. As for oiling the detent track, give it a shot and lube up your washers.

Also, are you running it with or without the torsion bar? Sometimes it makes a difference...

Mine came the same exact way. But it hasn't moved much since, so I don't mind.
All 0566's are hard to flip in their assisted state. It's not from the lock. If you take out the torsion bar, it'll be MUCH easier.
