I just bought a new PM2
Opening the blade about 10 degrees before lock-up the locking bar moves due to the detent bearing coming off the blade where the bar will lock. Moving the blade the extra 10 degrees allows the locking bar to move the rest of the way and locks the blade normally.
When opening the blade slowly and continuously this has the effect of the blade having a "snap" then locking up.
Its doing it because the portion of the blade where the locking bar goes in is cut at an angle. The angle is allowing the bearing to come off the blade while the bar is still on the blade.
Is this normal?
