Is my Shallot a fake?

I just bought a shallot yesterday, and was just looking on the Kershaw website and have some concerns. First off, the website shows no visible stop pin above the pivot in the pictures but mine has a visible hole on each side where you can see the pin is attached. My biggest concern however is the writing at the butt of the handle. The website shows this saying Kershaw, and Ken Onion on one side of the extended H and USA on the other. Mine says speedsafe on the left side of the tail on the H and USA on the other. There is also no little R after the word Kershaw. I bought this from a knife store, not just a store that sells knives, and they seemed trustworthy. My question is did i get screwed and if so what do i do about it. This place was right full of Benchmade, CRKT, Cold Steel etc.

I think I can follow most of your descriptions, but pictures would be a tremendous help. The website representation may not be the best guide for determining subtle differences. Sounds like a legit Shallot, but without pics, I'm not really sure.

I think some of the pictures on kershaws website are late prototypes. They make constant tweaks n updates as needed.

Tell us what color box it came in, grey or red? Red is newer.

I wouldn't worry. It has to have a stop pin, no studs. Mine is visible through the frame.

The etching sometimes has mistakes, duplicate serial numbers or incorrect model number. So don't judge on the printing judge on the overall shape and specific features.

Pics would always helps us help u more too.
