is NOKIA the best mobile phones outthere?

i've used lots and have learned my lesson. Never buying a non-nokia again. Reasons being the battery life, and they're hard to break. Any of my other phones have broken one way or another within 6 months. The only non-nokia i use or will buy again is a blackberry. Hard to get used to, but very useful and (again, important for me) they have awesome batteries.

I've had both SonyEricsson and Nokia......,I think they're both top of the bill!!!

It's hard to compare just the names since they both have so much products out there.......,You should decide how much you would like to spent and then compare the models that you can get in that price range.

This has always been a good site for me to compare cell-phones.

I am partial to Nokia phones myself. They have been the most reliable for ME.

I went from a Nokia 3330 to a Moto Razr, and I'm still kicking myself in the arse for it. When I can, I'm going back to Nokia. Razr's are junk....

I hate cellphones, but accept that it's necessary to at least keep one in the car for emergencies. I've got the cheapest Nokia they make -- not even a flip cover, just buttons & screen on the front. Holds a charge for well over a week and is extemely durable. Lotsa folks I know who purchased high end, miniaturized flip-phones have experienced numerous malfunctions.

Maybe they have improved since I had one. I have had, in order, Motorola, Nokia, Motorola, Motorola, Kyocera, LG, and Motorola. I'm with my father on this one. Any brand will do, as long as it says Motorola on it. My E815 is still showing over half charge on the battery meter after eight days (but I don't talk on it much).

i used nokias for almost 10 yrs, they are good phones, my razr works just fine too though.

I have a Nokia 9500.

Travel throughout Asia, occasionally to europe and USA. Have dropped it, used it as emergency doorstop( dont ask), have 7 differnet SIM cards depending on what country i am in. The reception is incredible, in elevators, car garages, tunnels. Its by far the best phone ever owned.

Once you go Nokia you dont go back

nokia rules, even a caveman and a firefighter can use it and not break it. later, ahgar

I've always hated the Nokia's I've had---they worked---but not that well.

I've always seemed to favor the Kyocera and Sony models---had a Motorola---but lost it---no big deal.

Good timing for this topic. I need- no, have to get a new phone- because my Nokia 6340i is going to be obsolete according to Cingular. I've been a customer with'em since '93 when they were SBC Cingular and I'm reconsidering our relationship also. This little Nokia has been the bomb. I only see the 6010 as comparable...simple, tough and no camera or other gizmos. But the guy I spoke with at Cingular said that Nokias aren't near the phone that they used to be. So, ladies and gentlemen...more opinions/comments...please! Thank you all for what I'm learning here.

Ericsson is great, I use a GH-198 from 1993 or so - built like a brick, heavy like a brick and looks like a brick. Actually, with that antenna it looks like the radio set I used in the military. Still works fine. When I switch it on it causes strange sounds in the electronics around me. I rarely switch it on. The battery is new, it has twice the capacity and twice the voltage of the usual current cell phone batteries, and still the phone drains it in one day on standby.
Eh, I suppose this was not all that helpful...

I am the cellphone's bane. I have destroyed more phones than I care to remember, they have drowned, burned, been crushed, and died of pure terror I'm sure. Due to my lifestyle my phone must be durable indeed and have the heart of lion. My current victim is a motorola i355 and I must say I am quite inpressed. The 2nd day I had it it chose to go for a dip in the pool, I retrieved it from the bottom and it was still on and functioningfine! I threw it in again just to be sure. My truck has deemed it necisary to roll over it with no loss of function or cosmetic deformity. It has fallen from 10ft to concrete, buryied in wet cement and covered with paint. It now carries a few scratches, but still looks very good and has never skipped a beat.

All that to say get a motorola i series. They are available from nextel (sprint) and southernlinc.

I have got no cellular phone anymmore they are dangerous for you're health
and for the people around you. Offcourse it is everybody's own to have and use one. But I try to stay away at least 300 feet if possible, impossible nowadays offcourse :(
There has been a german investigation towards the effect of mobile phone on the red blood cells, It seams to appear that only using the cellular for a couple of seconds starts clotting/lumping the red blood cells.
I tell you that it is very unhealthy, better smoke a cigarette:D
Also the use of a cellular increases the risk of alzheimer on an early age.
The blood brain barrier gets disturbed only in a view minutes an will leave irreparable damage. And the list goes on:yawn:

look at these links, the last one is in german, but shows the pictures clearly.

I don't know, I SLAMMED my AudioVox flip phone in my car truck 6 time before finally realizing my phone was what was making the trunk not close, it actually bent the metal around my trunk lip into the shape of the phone :) but never actually did any damage to the phone at all (I had it in a pouch).
