Hi,
I am doing stock removal with Alpha Knife supplied 8670. I did my rough grind then hardened with 1525F for a 10 min soak quenched in Parks 50.
I realized that I'd forgotten some jimping and sharpening notch. I put it back in at 1200F for an hour and cooled it in a bucket of ash.
After I complete my forgotten machining steps, do I need to do a normalization step prior to repeating the hardening step?
If so is that normalization heating to 1525F then air cooling?
thanks
