Perhaps I am in a cave, but it seems like last year right before the holidays Orange Spydercos were all the rage.
At least in terms of the Military, they were scarce and you could count on paying a little extra to get one.
Then the new year rolled out, they announced that Orange would be available (and not just a sprint run...at least for the Military) and it seemed like instantly the chatter on the forums hushed! I thought it was just my perception once I took delivery, but I have watched quietly for a couple months and it seems that orange is really out of the lime light.
Was orange a rapidly passing trend?...Or does it just seem that way to me because I got one?
As a follow up discussion, what is up with the orange Military? I bought 3 new Militarys between late November, 2009 and early February, 2010 and the fit and finish on the Orange seems about 3 levels above the other two! No complaint on the other two (they are great), but the Orange one I have, has a very snappy lock up, the grind and edge look like it was done by an artist, and the detent is much more firm than any other Military I have handled. Anyone else notice a slightly higher attention to detail on the Orange Millie?...may be I just got a particularly great one?
