Is stainless damascus difficult to work with?

I just did a bar of damasteel. I was impressed! Good solid material. Heat treated well and takes a fine edge. The heat trreat ended at 59 rc just right for cpm and 12c27 very nice . IT CUTS TO!
Most often on my high end knive I make the steel. On the apogee project I use damasteel. Nice I happy with the quality and price...

Thought so. Reason I asked is that I knife I recently got was sort of slightly chipped in one place on the spine, and the maker sort of indicates that that sort of thing happens. But I haven't seen it before.

Have not had any problems with the stainless damascus that I got from K & G grinds well, and it cuts.
