It seems no one on their forum can get an answer. I gifted a Canadian buddy of mine a tan 1111 a few years ago and he was asking me how to get another, or a replacement if it breaks.

It still falls under the Busse warranty... if ya cant get hold of Scrap Yard..Call Busse

As for the present state and future of Scrap Yard who knows.. my personal guess is that Jerry and crew simply chose to change the way they offer blades.. I could be wrong but it seems to me that with the crazy # of models they have managed to generate through O2W 1&2 it would likely take Busse, Scrap Y, Swamp Rat, an custom shops man power... or we would be waiting years..

I'd encourage your buddy to take it a step further down the Busse rabbit hole.. get on the email list. get a BF account and follow Busse a bit... as we all know it becomes fun when you understand how it all works. Especially with Jerry's incredible talent for getting people involved.

Just like the others, they are all into o2w.

Sykco had the ds6 and ds8 come out, probably the best knives sykco ever put out imho (especially the ds6).

The standard offerings on swamp and busse are likely big sellers, buy sykco's biz model probably doesnt allow for continuous offerings of the same knife....never have been that way.

I've been around only since 2006 and since then the BCK Co. distribution model has changed several times. Old Hogs can tell you about 2+ year waits before then. We currently enjoy more new models, and greater numbers of each than ever before.

Things change. Stick around, and enjoy the ride!

No regrets. Let's drink!
