Blade stamped 110T

I'm not a Buck expert but I'd guess that they made it that way. I bought a plastic handled knife at one of the factory sales. Should have been marked 422 I think, but it had a regular 112 marked blade.......

How is it possible? There isn't any screws in handle, just pins

There's a couple threads here somewhere explaining how Buck ran low on 560 stamped blades and used some 110 stamped blades instead (they're the same as the 560 but not the 186). It may also have been a blade replacement done after the 560 stamped blades were used up.

It's a good addition to your 560/186 collection...Which you now have a good start on... :D

BTW: Joe Houser mentioned that the SS 560 rivets were "spun", not peened...

Yours is a 560 Gold Crystal Ti (titanium handles). The 560 blades and 110 blades are the same, just different model stamp.

The T is year stamp for 2003. I suspect that your 560 frame has been rebladed at some point with a newer blade. I don't think they were still making the 560 frame in '03. May be wrong...

Thats a factory "build out" where they use left over parts of different models
that will work with each other to use up extra stock. BTW I think the're cool wish I had a few-have lost everytime I try and get one on the bay.

And we have a winner!!! :D Sometime just before Buck moved to Idaho, they used up all the 560 handles that had been sitting in the warehouse. No need to go to the extra time and expense to run a batch of 560 stamped blades when the 110 blade is identical. In hindsite, it makes a cool collectible! :)

It went the other way also. I'm away from home right now, so I don't have access to the pictures to post, but I have a 110 with a 560 blade in it. It appears new, but I don't know for sure if it came that way from the factory or if it was rebladed.
