Why yes, yes it is. I don't know why, but I had to try to get the HH in to one of the old Spec-Ops Survival Sheaths again. Not a perfect fit, but good enough for me. It took me about 2 hours of slow heat and patience.

BTW, my old oven looks way dirtier than it really is.

Looks like a bit of the blade would be rubbing against the retention screw post... does it?

It would if blade was inserted all the way to the slabs. That is why a little of the ricasso sticks out as seen in the last picture.

WOW, like Guy said you have more patience than me. Nice job!!! To bad Spec-Ops doesn't make a sheath that takes a 2" to 2-1/8" blade and then make a sheath for the longer blades like all of the Mistresses.

Is'nt the weight of the knife resting completely on that small portion of the belly edge which abuts the retention screw for the kydex inner ? I would check that it does'nt give a "burr" to the edge there ... if not ... great job mate

If it does cause an issue why not remove the screw and epoxy the kydex into the nylon "outer" sheath using an impact adhesive then the knife will fit a whole lot better by taking it's weight on the flats of the scales. Use Evo Stik impact adhesive which is what I use for glueing my leather sheaths at the welt before stitching them. Or use a fine dremel drill bit and make some stitching holes in the kydex inner so you can stitch it into the sheath at the bottom below the screw hole where none of the blade will rub against the stitching so it won't wear away and so the kydex inner does'nt come out ... or maybe do a bit of both?

would a muck style blade fit?
It could, but would do better in the small version. It would flop around in this one.;)

Nope, it sits up higher because I fit it that way to keep it away from the retention screw. I could get the kydex to stretch and accept the whole blade, but the outer sheath won't accept the kydex at that point. So it's kind of a win/win.
