Is that a Manix in your pocket or are you happy to see me?

.....Geez that was bad. Anyway, I have been blowing up BF lately trying to get as much information as possible. I have been eye-balling the mini Manix lately and had a question. How comfortable is this knife in the pocket? It looks like it has a wide profile (wide I mean from the bottom of the knife handle to the top of the blade----in otherwords, sideways). Is this a problem with anyone? Also, has anyone experienced any edge chipping with the manix? Thanks for the help!!

The Manix and Mini-Manix both have a pretty wide profile when closed, and either can make reaching past them to fish something out of the bottom of your pocket a real challenge. I carry mine set for tip down carry to put the thicker part of the knife to the outside of the pocket, which makes it a little easier for me (I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets).

As far as edge chipping, mine has held up better than my BG-42 Military in hard use. I have even hit nails in wood without chipping the edge visibly. Micro-chipping? Who knows. I worry about macro-chipping on my knives (I work around a lot of hard/abrasive surfaces).

the mini in my opinion is very easy to carry although I do tend to go for larger knives but the mini is very easy to carry and not very heavy. Also the regular manix is not much larger when closed. Its all about what you are comfortable with.
