I took apart a Manix 2 a few weeks back and was wondering if that piece that sort of acts as a back spacer and holds the spring is made out of titanium? Thanks
Magnet is attracted to it, so am guessing it's just stainless steel with a bead blasted finish. Also, AFAIK, titanium tends to gall against steel, so using it for a coil spring carrier might not be the best idea.

No. Not Titanium. Plai old Stainless steel of some sort. Better wear resistance and overall toughness/strength. I personally think Titanium is overpriced and way overrated.
I'll join the chorus - have disassembled some of these, and it's steel. FWIW, the orange dealer limited edition had the backspacer polished bright - it looks great.
