Probably my most carried knife ever, which turned out to be its downfall. It was confiscated by hospital security while visiting one day and by the time I got back downstairs it was gone.

I started with the SI and bought 2, later Wenger SI where going for peanuts on Amazon when they stopped making them.

I still have the original 2.

Everyone goes on about the Spitfire which is why I prefer the Hurricane etc.etc you get then idea.


I have a lot of Alox Soldiers and most are Wenger which seemed to have bales more often than Vics,but thats the only Wengers I have.

SI is the civilian version,its more refined,the shield is a slightly different shade its more scarlet and none have a WK stamp.
















New and old bottle openers,I prefer the cruder,more machined look on the older tools.

I have another Wenger Soldier in my bike jacket,ive a feeling I may have misplaced one or two.

I love the soldier model,the pioneer is exactly the same tools,strength, usability and way cheaper to buy,but I like the old.

Yeah I wish I knew they were being discontinued in enough time to pick up a few extras
Like I said I did pick up a pioneer (and a farmer) but I discovered I much prefer the bail to the key ring
