Here's a sales write-up from an internet knife seller:

For many years, Buck® has offered a series of limited editions as a part of their Heritage Collection. For this latest 500-piece limited edition they have chosen to bring back the Model 121 Guide. This model has not been made for several years and except for this special limited edition version, it is not in their current line. I would expect to see it re-introduced now that they have produced this one. The Model 121 was originally called the Fisherman but at some point was changed to the Guide. The 420HC stainless steel blade is ground to resemble chipped flint. The handle is genuine buffalo horn with a cow bone inlay of an American Bison on the obverse side. Polished aircraft alloy hilt and butt. The upswept-skinning blade measures 5-1/2". Limited to 500 serial numbered pieces, sorry no choice of serial number. Includes a black leather sheath and a certificate of authenticity.

Has anyone heard anything else to indicate that the 121 is coming back?

I "expect" to see Buck reintroduce the 124, 120, 532 and also the 500. After all, those are all being or have been brought back as serialized Limited Editions also. Same logic as is being used by that seller.

Hmmm. The chipped flint treatment doesn't excite me much... YMMV, of course.
