Is the 1st gen 0550 discontinued?

Title speaks for itself...I was considering either selling mine to a friend or getting a membership to put it up here, but when looking on Amazon purely as a reference for my friend I saw that it was on there for more money than the 2nd gen.

I looked on Kershaw's website and they only have the second gen...I guess that probably answers my question but I was looking for a bit of confirmation maybe a few opinions as to wether or not I should keep it in my collection. Thanks guys.
 
They're still around, but getting harder to find. Really haven't seen gen1 top the gen2 price. Have seen the gen2 price come down a little over the last few months.
 
I need to just cut the crap and buy an 0550 already. I've just been too busy loving my 0566! Are there any major differences between Gen 1 and Gen 2? I am aware of the differences between the two, but do said changes really make the Gen 2 more solid and functional than the Gen 1?
 
grownstar, The only differences I know are the lock bar cut out and pocket clip. I have a Gen 1 and I think it carries fine, I don't mind the clip and I have had no problems with the lock-up or disengaging the lock. If you want a Gen 1 I would check out kershawguy. He has Gen 1 and Gen 1 blems.
 
The BHQ blackwash exclusive is pretty sweet as well...I've been considering grabbing a second to put away.
