Is the 570 Presidio 2 a good knife?

Hey guys, I prefer my knives to be strong and durable. I was at a knife store yesterday and noticed the 570 Presidio 2. I really like the looks of it but never handled one until recently. Since its relatively new on the market, there aren't many written reviews on it yet. I really don't need anything that large but it is just personal preference since my knives are mostly for pleasure, but I still want them to be strong and durable if I ever needed it to tackle challenging tasks. Would it be as tough as something like the Adamas? Would you recommend the Presidio 2?

The Presidio 2 follows the lineage of the original and is an excellent folder. I've handled the knife in store and I have no doubt in it's ability to perform any task that a folder should.

I've had one for a couple of months now and I love it. Very good work knife, strong and durable.
It's a big knife for sure, excellent for heavy work. Takes a mean edge too.
I'm not big on the aluminum handle as it can ding edges if you drop it on cement. I would prefer a G-10 handle.
Got some weight to it as well, but rides in the pocket comfortably. Well worth purchasing.
I'm very surprised there's not much Youtube reviews, or otherwise out there on this knife. Apostle P did a review that influenced my purchase.

Well, I ended up purchasing one and I love it. As mentioned, its heavy, but still carries easily. Not only would it be suitable for work, it could also serve as a sd knife as well. This is probably one of my favorite Benchmade knives. Thanks for the replies

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I've been away from the forum for awhile. The Presidio 2 is a great knife. You might also like the Presidio 1 (I prefer it but it is a hair smaller and discontinued) and the Boost (full steel liners). These three knives are some of my favorites in my small collection.

Yes it's really awesome! Had it about 4 months and can't say anything bad about it except dor it is a bit big. But does carry well for its size. A 3" or 3.2" would be just about perfection, and what I understand a mini is coming!

Really? A mini version would be cool.

One could assume there would be a smaller version of the Presidio 2. Haven't handled an example of the larger model, but it's a real beauty. Now, what would Benchmade call the smaller one, Presidio 2.1? :D

I don't know but when Asked jimmy from benchmade he hinted of a mini but didn't officially confirm but left a winking emoji

The Presidio 2 won't maul your pockets like the first version did. The blade steel changed as well, but for the worse in my opinion. Benchmade's 154cm is exquisite on the first version, but their S30V has always been "meh" to me.

In a perfect world, I'd put the P1 blade in the P2 handle and call it amazing.

Personally, I would have liked if they stretched the P1 to the P2 blade length, and left everything else the same. I would have ordered another 4 Presidios if that were the case. I prefer the P1 scales, but I carry it in a belt pouch.

To follow up: I kind of regretted not picking this knife up. My local guy got one in stock and I picked it up this morning.
