I have a Browning 734 Signature series that I WISH I had got in the 725 ..regular...configured blade instead of the Wharncliffe, but try as I might to NOT carry the light lil sucker, It is just so HANDY! Light, ROUNDED on both ends so it doesn't try to chew out of its pocket. Great size and EASY opening.

Boy, in some GREAT steel, I don't think anything else could come close.

I now slink away in shame to use my cheapie.

:D

Browning's don't qualify as cheapies (not in my book anyway). My grandpa has one and it's a nice little knife. I like the wood inlays.

I bought 2 Browning's back in 2003 & was impressed with their lightness and smooth contours...but they did get relegated to the back of the drawer. Dragged them both out & have been fondling both since I read your post. The larger 817 trailing point and the smaller 825 drop point are 440C. Just might start carrying them on alternate days. :D
