Is the Becker BK-11CSM a good choice?

I got my first Becker last week, A BK-2, I want to get the BK-11 and I like the looks and steel of the CSM version but I don't see much about it here in the forum.
I see the regular BK-11 a lot in posts and pictures, Is it because of the price or do Beckerheads just prefer the regular version?
Or is it that the BK-11CSM is not a good choice for modding? I may never be a Beckerhead but I already have another one on the way and I want the 11 and maybe a
BK-7 or even a BK-77 if I come into money, And maybe a BK-9 and a, Oh jeez, I think I need help!!!:foot:
Thanks!!!
Joseph

I got the regular purely because of price. No experience with that one though!

Do it. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they were limited.

It's better but I can't put my finger on as to why. Clich has one too. Ask him. He's more articulate than I.

they made a bunch in a sprint run a few years ago, and they will not make more.

so, if you want one, buy one. that's about it :>

Takes a wicked edge and holds it. A little harder to sharpen of course. I wouldn't beat it up like the 1095 version tho. Two reasons, one its a limited run so when they are gone they are gone, and two I don't think sandwiched steels will hold up as well to hard use.

For an edc its a great choice. For the woods I'd take the regular version.

I didn't know it was a sprint run, That's a good enough reason alone to get one.
I guess I could buy both, I just wondered why I see a lot of the BK-11 and very few of the CSM.

they cost more, are less known, people are cheap :) when you can get 2 or 3 of a knife instead of one? yeah.

and they look "weird"... and ... i dunno. whatever :> more for me...

Id like one its just a price thing with me, I dont have all the Beckers I want yet and its the price of a full size one or close to it. I did buy the limited 1/2 serrated BK11 with Micarta and Coyote Brown sheath.

I would love to get a BK-77 but it costs so much!!
I could probably swing a BK-11CSM and regular BK-11
but as mentioned above, That's the cost of one big Becker.

I held off on one because of the QC issues on the way the blanks were cut out. Probably would be an easy fix but I couldn't see spending $75 ish on a little knife I was gonna have to beat with the pretty stick for 2 hours. Although I may just get one. I'm a slut like that.

I noticed those issues from pictures I have seen on here. I wasn't sure if it was from the users or from the factory. If I had the extra cash I would consider it to see what the steal is like. But being a poor college kid it's unlikely I will try one. As far as being Becker sluts I'm pretty sure most of us here are :) It's almost like a support group.
