Is the Boker "Urban Survival" as good as it ...looks... for a hideout knife?

It sure ....looks... just about perfect for the shirt pocket knife you could get to very easily while still IN your car in the event that something transpires but you aren't sure if it's a serious issue.

I've read that it comes dull and some other negative reviews, but that lil thing looks like it could inflict many painful cuts in a very short time from either within the car and dealing with a "reach-in" or actually having it ready when you exit "just in case."

Now before you tell me a bigger blade in the pocket is BETTER, I know that.

I'm thinking more along the lines of surprise and get away quick.

It's looks decent, but there are better less conspicuous options, like a A.G Russell gentleman's frame lock for example.

:D

I have one and don't recommend it. It's narrow and hard to keep a solid hold on, and the detent is so stiff it's extremely hard to open even two-handed. This article gives a much better--albeit more expensive--idea given the parameters you've listed.
