the picture and specs imply it's the newer model w/ 154cm .. but in the detailed description it says 420hc for both handle and blade.

the price is $47 + ~$6 shipping... does that seem about right for the 154 version?

This may be overly simple, but have you considered asking KnifeWorks?
their office is not open right now. i assumed a forum with thousands of people would be able to help me sooner.
if i wait to ask tomorrow i won't be able to place my order in time for it to also ship out tomorrow.

Carefull, you better ask. Camillus had a 420 version too. That was the first EDC that they had out. They switched to 154CM later in the production. I have a half serated 154CM model. These knives are about perfect in my opinion. They are very solid knives. They are slim enough to comfortably carry.
Note: They a medium sized knife. If you are planning on cutting down trees with it, you should buy an axe.
Sorry, some of these guys kill me with what they expect from a knife.

The 420 version has been discontinued in favour of the improved version on 154CM, which was sold at the same price. One way you can tell is that the 154CM version comes with black clip and screws.

But you'd still better ask before you buy.

The oldewr models were 420, all new ones are 154cm. If you want a better blade than 154cm, you can buy an ag russel exclusive off his site made with D2.
