Is the Carbon Fibre Balance a Limited Run?

I had purchased the Carbon Fibre Balance (love it by the way) last year and the item description on most websites said it was a limited run of about 600 peices.
I saw it in the New Spyderco Catalouge. What does that mean? Are they planning on making more? Were those claims that it was a limited run false?

As an aside, I remember reading that Sal said there would be an all stainless Balance, any word on that?

It may have been a limited production but I don't believe it was a sprint run.
 
yes, they are going to stop making the carbon fiber balance in favor of a stainless steel balance but I don't think they have ever said when they were going to stop making the CF balance.
