is the centofante 4 a rare knife?

all I'm asking about is if the spyderco centofante 4 is a rare, and maybe sought after knife?

I wouldn't consider it rare, but I do not know how many were made or sold. But it is currently discontinued, so availability is limited.

Like he said, it's been discontinued, so no more will be made. I don't see any places on-line that stock the Centofante 4, so I'd hang on to one if you get it. Mine is a user and it shows, but it's such a great knife.

You sure? If it costs more to add another liner, drill and tap the knife it will hurt sales. People might not want to spend the extra cash.

But, left handed people (like myself) would easily buy the knife. It fills a size gap between the Delica and Endura, with the same steel.

I looked at the stretch, but I just couldn't justify that much more for the same steel and a slightly bigger blade.

As others have said, not rare, just discontinued and not readily available from dealers. It was a regular production model and was in production for several years.
