Is the CF Blur worth it?

Hey guys I have been eyeing a carbon fiber blur for the past week. Is it worth the price point? The one I found is from KershawGuy for $105. I have a regular blur and love it, so I was thinking about getting the CF model before they are hard to find.

Limited edition, cpm-154, carbon fiber, proven knife design, good fit and finish, Kershaw's excellent warranty, yup, totally worth it.

I hope so. :)

I'm not necessary a "Blur guy" - though I do own 6 of them - but the CF flavor would make an excellent first or second blur. The smooth scales, which are quite a contrast from the standard grippy inserts, are worth the price of admission right there. Plus the steel is killer if you actually end up using it like God intended.

Kershawguy is selling CF Blur blems for $75 (thread on BF, if he has any left), which is what I got. Like many have said, it is usually difficult or impossible to tell why its a blem, though it will have the XXXX mark on the knife. But I love blems, and that would save you $30 if you are into it.

I really have no experience with that design but I did pull the trigger on a smf with cpm154 steel and the blade steel seems to stay sharp no matter what I throw at it. And if im not mistaken not to many production companies have such great materials like cf and cpm 154 for that price I would go ahead and buy one.

I'd buy one, cpm 154 is great stuff. Carbon fiber ain't too bad either.

I'm wondering the same thing. Dave just sent me two just today so I can find out. Sticktodrum and I seem to like the same Kershaws for edc (Packrat, Knockout), and if he says the CF Blur is his edc hands down, I gotta check it out. Looking forward to that CPM154 and the good looks. AO's coming out on arrival.

I think these will be sold out soon. Get on it.

If you like it then go for it. Nothing like missing a knife you think you will like. That said the blur is everything I don't like in a knife. Aluminum, sandpaper insert, AO, liner lock, recurve, and pointy thumb stud. I got the orange one to try CPM154 as it is turning out to be quite the hyped steel. You would think it is the newest super steel. But mine behaved just like every other production knife with 154CM that I own quite a few of. Which is a good steel, but pretty average these days. Maybe the 'super' was left out of mine, but I doubt it. I got rid of mine as I just got it to try the steel.

I think I'm going to get a blem first to see how I like it, and if I do (which I am certain I will :) ) I'll buy a non-blem for the collection. Thanks for the input guys!
