Hi all,

I know next to nothing about Tomahawks but, I do like the looks of the Historical Tomahawks.
Would the Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk Drop Forged Tomahawk & Hammer (22" Overall) be worth it's modest price to "try out" this style of Axe ? I have ZERO intention of throwing the Tomahawk. I thought it just might be fun as a "light weight" chopper. Of course, I can see that it would no doubt function as a weapon as well.
Thoughts as to overall quality being made over Seas. I would love to hear from owners of the CS Tomahawks.

I recently got my cold steel trail hawk and I love it I don't own the riflemans hawks but u assume its as good of quality and for 30$ you can't beat that although tomahawks as usually light weight and the riflemans hawk I've heard is super heavy

I have the Rifleman's hawk. It's very heavy, feels like an axe. Honestly, I don't use it anymore.

That's my first CS tomahawk. I bought mine in early 1994. It's a bit heavy and not at all agile but it hits with some serious power.

Hi all,

Liam, lol, at first I was....what the heck ? It took me a moment (as I just woke up). Anyway, this is what happens when one (me) is lazy and "copies/cuts/past" from the Cold Steel Web site to the "title" box. My new thead will be :
"CSRHDFT&H as an EDC". Pat, Jer, Wolf.....thank you for you insight. I didn't realize this Tomahawk was so heavy. Perhaps I'll just re-hang one of my "Yard Sale" Hatchet/Axe head finds. I got a nice collection happening now, I found two nice older heads this past weekend.

I agree, lots of flavours to choose from but those are probably the three most popular, with the norse hawk being close behind.

Ive been throwing and using mine for about 12 years now.

Well worth the money!

But, it is a heavy beast.

I have a rifleman, norse and spike hawk (oh, and a pole axe, and bad axe, and special forces shovel........etc, etc).

My next will probably be the pipe hawk. Lighter. Functional hammer. The finish appears to be be better too.
