Is the forum server weirding out?

I just received 10 email notifications of a post by manowar, to a thread I subscribed to but there is no post. Anyone else get a bunch of emails for the same thread?


Now I've gotten a total of 11,but still no post from manowar. Am I the only one experiencing this?
 
That happened to me yesterday too. I don't know why it's doing it. You can unsubscribe to the thread if it gets too annoying....

This is weird too -- I've tried four times to post this so far; it times out every time. The weird part is at the same time I've been reading the forums in other windows with no problem, not running slow at all, and even posted a reply in Gadgets & Gear and it posted instantly. Is this thread cursed? :eek:

Maybe the server doesn't want us to talk about its problems ... maybe it's embarrassed....

I'm going to keep pasting this in until it posts if it takes all night.

I had the same exact problem, only once. Same poster, identical posts, just a few seconds apart.
 
Yes there was a strange error. I tried to make a post,and don´t know what´s happened. Consider this as a test post.

I'm still getting 10 notifications of answers to threads that I subscribed to yet, when I go to the thread, I find that the last post is my own, with no additional posts. It kind of screws up the benefit of knowing when there is a new comment if you have to unsubscribe to various threads of interest because the server is filling up your inbox with bogus notifications. What's the deal?
 
I asked on the vB site and they weren't able to give me a solid answer as to what's going on.

It's possibly a bug with this release of the forum software, hopefully to be fixed with the next version. Past that, I'm not sure what's up.
 
To help track this down, how about you guys posting the links to the threads in question so we can see if there is anything in common?

Without that, it makes my job a lot harder.
