Is the GEC 79 workhorse old or new?

I've noticed there are some GEC 79 workhorse for sale on knivesshipfree.com.

Are these old knives made a while ago or are they new? The price is so high it makes me think it's a discontinued model.

The 3 blade ones were released June last year, the 2 blade ones are being released now.

Does this knife have 1 spring or 2? Looks like 1?

The three blade is a Splitback, the two blade knife is a single spring.

The 3 bladed whittler is a three spring design. Atleast the two I have owned are.

I wish they could have made the wharncliffe bigger like the one on the 3-blade version. Would be perfect but as it is now it just looks tiny.
