Is the Gerber MK II going or is out of production?

Heard a rumor the other day at a local knife shop, that the Gerber MK II might be going out of production. Has anyone else heard of this?
Hope it's not true, I'm not much of a dagger kind of guy but I do like that style.
 
my understanding is they are discontinued - have a '69 model i carried in the army ....

I heard the same thing from the knife shop I work part time at. If you are Military, check your BX/PX. I bet they have it. I know ours carries that model. I wonder if Gerber will keep it on as a Military only model.
 
Yea, I've got two of them around here somewhere. Would hate to find out they are no longer being made and all of a sudden there is a mass rush to pick up all remaining ones hoping to send your grandkids to school with the killing you will make on the resale.
Is there anyone out there with the conections to conferm or deny this rumor? Inquiring minds want to know(so I can go out and buy all the MK II's that I see)
 
i have not heard anything about that what a shame if they do. just wanted to share this photo. maybe someone knows the approx. value of this set.
