I saw a U.S. dealer received two Boker Haddocks towards the end of last week. Are these starting to officially ship now?

Hope I can get one, havent been excited about a knife release in awhile, cant wait for mine, these arent limited production or anything like that are they ?

At least one store on evil-bay has at least one. They also had the Pry-Mate - until I wanted one last week! Not sure about the Haddock - looks like a neat version of my new Benchmade 755 MPR.

Bimmer1,

Did you get the Haddock? If so, how do you like it?

As I already have the BM 755 MPR - and love it - I may just nix my Haddock purchase. Sour grapes for now, of course - they just aren't out there. On paper, they look similar, save the M390 vs N690; drop point vs 12+ mm longer Wharncliffe blade; textured vs sculpted G10; etc. The 755's blade is 4.07 mm vs the Haddocks claimed 5 mm thickness, while the Ti/G10 sides measured 5.06/5.20 mm on my 755 vs the 3/? mm listed by Boker for the Haddock. Blade edge length of the 755 is ~7.3 cm vs the Haddock's claimed 8.5 cm (The bWharncliffe blade looks longer because it is so straight.). Weight is listed as 5.5 oz for the 755; 4 oz for the Haddock.

I know the Haddock's N690 is a 440C-like metal around 58-60 Rc, while the 755's M390 generally is a tad harder at 60-62, My 755 is a razor, too.

Gotta admit - I love my straight edge Wharncliffe-type blades - particularly the bargain Kershaw 1820G10 'Needs Work' and Bark River T.U.S.K. - there may be a Haddock in my future.

Yes. I was able to get the last one from that seller. I received it right before leaving to go out of town and I just returned home. I opened and looked at the Haddock briefly before placing it in my safe right as I was getting ready to leave for Florida.
My initial impression was that it had a nice secure titanium framelock and the lock-up was early as you would expect for a new folder. The overall weight is light for a knife of that size. The textured handle material on the non-locking side felt good in my hand. Other than that I have not been able to spend enough time with it to give a good overall review. I do know that my Benchmade 755 struck me as more impressive right out of the box but then again the 755 was something I had been waiting for and the tactical design is more appealing to me. But, the Haddock is not really in the same category as far as design so I would not want to compare the two at this moment.
I will have to post again once I have spent some time with my Haddock.
