Is the Ka-Bar Mark 1 any good?

Hello, I was looking at one to replace my fathers. But there are so many types and I want to replace his old one with a better version. I've seen an all black blade and a grey blade, but idk if that effects the performance. Both of them are made with 1095 Cro-Van Steel

head to the ka-bar forum, its a good knife and their 1095 is awesome

get it in the stacked leather without the black coating and you will have a good field knife with the Nostalgia of replacing it with a close modern version by the original manufacturer.
