is the lanyard pin providing stability for the overall knife construction ?

Not in the least. The tightened-all-the-way-down construction of the Sebenza, along with the thickness of its simplistic parts and robustness of even its smallest parts are what make the Sebenza a very strong folder. The lanyard pin really just adds a moving part to the equation.

The lanyard pin is just one of those nice little touches you get with CRKs. It does nothing one way or the other with regards to the stuctural integrity of the knife.

Not at all, and I have found that even if you only put in the pivot and the stop pin that the knife can function the same as with the pin at the end of the handle. The pin at the end of the handle is just added for extra rigidity.

ok thank you all i just thought that because it fits so perfect ,. thats interesting wolf thank you
