First let me give a sincere "Welcome!" to Cold Steel, this forum is long overdue. Anyway, I know I've read that Mr.Thompson dislikes the concept of "bevel ground" or "chisel ground" blades, as do I. I would just like for someone to verify for me that the Mini-tac does not have a "bevel ground" or "chisel ground" edge. The Mini-tac has a standard ground blade, that is, sharpened on both sides, correct?

I have one and can tell you it does not have a chisel grind. But beware that the blade is only 1.5mm thick, I think it's the same thickness as their kitchen knives.

I have one as well, and the thin blade makes it a great little cutter. Glides right thru cardboard.

i saw one, it's a great boot knife just don't use it for prying.

Look at the Cold Steel web site. It has all the specs on each knife.

The Mini Tanto blade is 4mm thick.
The kitchen knife is 1.5mm thick.

Steve,

You are NOT paying attention AGAIN...

The CS knife in question is the "Mini Tac", NOT the Mini Tanto.

I do believe that the Mini Tac IS 1.5mm "thick".
