Just wondering here. As a Boston fan I don't see much of NL teams. Recently they went 16-2 against the NL, won 12 straight, and nearly swept the entire NL East. Then in two games with their best pitches against the TB Rays, the dregs of the AL East, they had their heads handed to them.
I know they've been second for a long while, but is the NL really that bad now? Granted the Red Sox are currently an excellent team, however the recent stretch was so imbalanced and the level of play so high compared to the rest of their record it makes me wonder.
