is the nighthawk ok for salt water use?

I don't want to spend much for a dive knife, so the intrepid is out. What I fear is that salt water may penetrate the handles of the nighthawk (tanto tip) and rust the tang. Is this a valid concern, or is the tang completely protected by some injection molding process that I know nothing about?
