Is the NMFSH not just a beefier SARGE?

Controversy...

But it looks to me, with the exception of a few minor differences, that these are just a bigger SARGE or SAR8. I could be wrong...
 
Completely different knife. :)

The NMFSH is thicker, longer, has a totally different handle design and the blade shape/grind etc is quite different too.
 
it seems the nmfsh is a lot thicker and has a more pronounced drop point than the SAR series
 
I was hoping someone would post up some comparison pics...side by side. I need help justifying buying one.

I'm going to go against the grain here and assume the OP wasn't drunk when he posted. I suspect he might be asking if they have the same sort of function, to be attempting to justify the purchase. I don't have a SARGE7 or a NMFSH but I'd assume the FSH is a better chopper, wacker, pryer, gouger, smasher, camp knife than the SARGE. I imagine the SARGE to be more nimble and better (lighter) for a pack if you were going for a long walk.

I think there is a big enough difference to justify the purchase of a NMFSH if that's what you were looking for. On the other hand I think there might be better knives suited to the all-round abuse and camping role...
