Is the piston lock slider on a Flash I supposed to move?

I know it will my when closed due to the nature of design, but is it also supposed to move when it's open? You'd think that a tight lock means a tighter switch, but maybe I'm just wrong.

The slider switch is a separate piece from the lock bar itself, so there's a little bit of play in it when the blade is open, and a lot of play in it when the blade is closed.

What he said.

It's fine if its just a little. Otherwise it most likely isn't locking correctly.

Ah, thank you both. The slider has a little play when opened. When closed, the thing is a free bird.

My flash 1 is like that too. Kinda annoying but the flash 2 is snug enough to the point where it won't move by itself. I guess you can't have the tolerances so tight on such a small knife.
