Man. I just got a Sage 1 and I'm quite pleased. First of all, I'm a small knife guy, I've been carrying a Curtiss Nano and a Spyderco Techno in rotation for a few months, so typically it would be on the top end of size I comfortably EDC. But I must say the Sage 1 rivals the Techno for the most knife for your money considering I picked it up for $80 shipped.
I'm a sucker for carbon fiber(who isnt) and it has that in spades. Pair that with S30V and I'm a happy guy. Fit and finish is flawless and the blade has that perfect weight where you can flip it out to full deployment with your thumb and a gentle flick of the wrist and once it gets there it doesn't kick the knife back in your hand. I'm sure the butter smooth action helps with that a lot. Even the detent ball is next level smooth. I actually looked for it because it feels like a slip joint. It doesn't snap closed, it just stays closed without ever feeling it click in.
The Sage 2 calls to me imagining it like a Sage 1/Techno hybrid. But if they're all as solid as this one, I may have to pick up all of them. Any testimonials/opinions for me from owners of other knives in the line?
