Is the search function flaking out?

I have tried the search function many times over the past say 2 months and get random results and most results dont even have the search word in the tread. Is anyone else having this issue?

In order for search to be as effective as possible, you have to add stuff to the fields. The more general your search the more "junk" you get back. If you are specific, in entering a persons name, and a good combination of key words, your results will be more relevant.

What kind of stuff have you noticed. I can try to duplicate the results.

Sometimes I'll enter like 1 word to find threads and get weird results. I'll enter maybe a makers last name or something like Kifaru and would get results that wouldn't have that search word in it at all. I know my last name creates a problem for some search results because sometimes Goode with be replaced with Good automatically.

It seems to be working much better if I enter multiple words so thanks for the tip!!!

Next time I see that happening ill post back on this thread with what I was searching
