I am going to the states next week and was thinking to pick one of these up but there seem to be some "supply issues" right now! :(

Looks like it. And right when the Yojimbo 2 bug bit me bad. Luckily I picked one up on Ebay for under $100 LNIB. Should be here in a day or two.
I wonder what the deal is. I don't remember this model ever selling like hotcakes, but I'm probably wrong.

I wrote this in another thread so here again - the Yojimbo 2 seems to be available and "on sale" at BBS. $ 142.00+ change.
This is not an endorsement. I didn't even know about this outfit until a few weeks ago. Just happen to see this knife for sale and apparently in stock.

Does this break the rules? Sorry. I missed that one. Was just answering a question.

One just popped up on another forum ...don't want to get in trouble for stating which but "U" can figure it out ...Cheap too!

Surprised to hear this. The Yo2 use to be impossible to get a while ago, but the boom died off and they were readily available everywhere for a good price. Wonder what is causing the shortage now.

Same thing that causes the shortages with every model I would suspect. Production schedules changed to produce a different model, possible sprint run action, new model production, etc.

It's very strange people want to pay extra money whenever a model gets in short supply. I tried to like the Yo2 and bought it twice, and sold it twice at a loss. I love the way it looks, but find it uncarriable in anything but jeans, even then it's too thick in the pocket. That and the heavy blade and fragile tip just left me flabbergasted.

But strangely enough, I'm thinking about getting another one... Maybe the limited model for a safe queen piece, we'll see.

I would reckon a healthy demand would be part of that equation too. :)

I managed to nab one btw...at a pretty good price too. I'll report in next week with my thoughts.

Hey when you want something, you want something. The extra amount you typically pay isn't that much money. At least that's how I've justified it at various times.
I'm also interested in buying another Yojimbo 2 after selling my first. I have a mixed history when it comes to selling and re-aquiring a model. Sometimes I still don't like it, other times I do. I didn't like the super-strong detent on my example. Combined with a smaller opening hole, I couldn't open it easily. I'm also thinking the S90V version would be a good choice for the second time around. If I like it I'll carry and use it. If not, I'll be able to recoup the cost in a sale.

I dig my Yojimbo 2.....one that I will most likely never sell unless there is a 3. It is a great EDC.

Already? Seems kind of fast. then again, my sense of time is pretty terrible.
