Sorry for the confusing title...But I'm sure most of you know what I was referring to.

The ZT 0566 looks exactly like the 0560, just smaller with different textured G10 and other minor differences.
A very similar situation like the 0301 and the 0350...

So can I safely assume that the 0566 is a more affordable and compact version of the 0560? If so, I want one.

It also has assisted open. But otherwise, yes, that is what it appears it will be. I want one too. :)

If you read the product description, that is exactly what it indicates. The specs on both knives are also a dead giveaway.
The Zero Tolerance 0566 is a new Hinderer designed assisted opening folder. This knife is more compact than the larger 560/561. The blade is pure Elmax steel which offers excellent edge retention, strength, and toughness. The front scale is textured G-10. The back is stainless steel with a frame lock and a lockbar stabilizer. Quad-mounting system and deep carry pocket clip.

Specifications:
Overall Length: 7.7"
Blade Length: 3.25"
Blade Steel: ELMAX
Handle Material Black G-10 Front, Stainless Steel Back

The 0560 specs are:
Overall Length: 8.8"
Blade Length: 3.75"
Blade Steel: Elmax
Closed Length: 5.05"

The practical scaling down of the size & cost of the 030x into the 0350 has been a big seller for ZT in quantity sold and variety of models produced (17 at last count).

No doubt, ZT is trying to replicate that success by scaling down the size & cost of the 0560/1 into the 0566.

I'm glad they are; a smaller 0560 would make a terrific EDC.

The 0566 is the baby brother to the 0560 / 0561. It is assisted, with flat scales, steel framelock, deep carry clip, and a smaller price tag.

I pre-ordered right off the bat and was told third quarter. Never heard any different date other than that.
