Is there a BM tanto Griptilian planned?

There's an advertisement at Quick's Knives for a future BM 553 tanto blade knife but there's no pic. Has anyone else heard about an upcoming tanto grippy?

seriously - this is what I would expect it to look like if its in fact true. The 72x series blades fit the Grip chassis...this is a 722 blade on a 551S body.
 
Ross...You're bad for teasing the guy like that, but since he's "Nobody", I guess it's ok.:D.
 
I talked to BM at Blade, and they said it will initially be an exclusive for a company, but I don't remember if the name was mentioned or not. They said the response was so good that it's going into regular production as soon as the exclusive is done :D

Sting, is that Photoshop magic, or did you actually swap a 722 blade into a Grippy? Curious minds want to know! :)
 
I swapped in a 722 blade that I had. I had to grind out a small bit of the scale material so that the blade wouldn't hit when closed and I drilled two new holes for two additional scale screws to hold everything together (the grip uses a post to tie in the lower half but the blade would've hit it) this pic doesn't show the two new screws - but they end up in the middle of the the textured area and just dissappear visually. It came out pretty cool - but now I regret doing it since I can just buy a real one eventually... oh well :D
 
I'd much rather see them taking thier time to fill thier backorders and doing it correctly, than start cutting corners and having problems and start to ruin thier reputation.

I'll gladly wait the extra time.
