i just got my first busse and all i can say is ...WOW! it is a smog game warden. what i want to know now is ....is there a busse 5" to 7 " blade with the same handles and blade finish as the smog ?

IIRC, the Les Baer/Jerry Busse 1911/knife combo had a HR with the same SMOG micarta slabs. It's the only large knife that has this color that I know of short of a custom.

Man, I'd love to get one of those Hell Razors... Just a little out of my price range though :(

Maybe they'll offer it as an option on some blades -- at least at an extravaganza...

Oohh -- wouldn't it be cool to see it on the anniversary SH

You didn't say which version of the SMOG you have. There were 2 - one with a satin blade and one with a double cut blade. You should be able to find a number of knives with either satin or double cut blades.

The handles on the SMOGs were never on another knife, as far as I know. It was only for these military overrun knives.

Check out the Badger Attack TAC LE on the main company web site for a knife in that size range with a satin blade. Handles will be different, but if you like the SMOGs, you'll probably like the BATAC LE.

The SMOG grips were similiar to the black/tan G10. (VOTE NOW!)

There were some extravaganza tan/spruce G10 that were kind of close too.

hey paddling man....what is the name of the knife in the middle on the bottom picture. and thanks for the help!

The blade that comes with the Les Baer pistols is called the Jack Hammer and it is only availabe with the pistols.

That was a HOG (Heavy Ordinance Grade) variant of the FSH (Fusion Steel Heart.) It was part of an Extravaganza (click the link in my sig for an explanation.) The pictured FSH was the only HOG, though a handful of people were accepted for an order and received MOASH (Mother Of All Steel Hearts) thickness. The MOASH is thicker than the HOG that is thicker than the standard FSH. Confused?? ;)

Crafft has a MOASH version of this blade that he has done some great pics of... Click Advanced Search and select Threads Started By Crafft.
