I'm curious if there is a thread with only AG in it. I did a search but didn't come up with a thread of strictly AG models.I for one really like the AG logo and the blade coating. I mentioned in the past of starting collection of AG but havn't yet. Been working on saving for family vacation. My oldest turned 18 and graduated form school and has wanted to o to Florida since se was 6. So we did. Well family vacation is almost over with only 2 days left. Once back I hope to start my AG collection. Right now I only have 2 stag AG 110.

I've only got the one but I like it.

One of my favorite 110 offerings, the ag series has been a huge hit, mainly because every last detail of these knives is meant for hard core hunting and outdoor use, built to last .the coating is not a decoration as some think,it's definately a rust proof coating,I've tested one ag out on the Atlantic ocean for a complete season of fishing,NO RUST,,that says something right there.i have 4 ag stag and 7 regular wood handles, plus 2 elk stag ag that jag made.i love them lol

A repost fron the past...

The other Buck Caping knife. The model 474. This is an Alaskan Guide Series knife done for Cabela's. It's a beautiful and unique knife and must have been an exclusive for Cabela's as this is the only example of this 474 pattern being used that I know of. A rosewood handle and a nice glossy black titanium nitride coated blade in S30V steel and as found on all knives in the Alaskan Guide Series. No model number or date code is imprinted on the blade. I found this knife listed in the 2008 special projects list with a build quantity of 1,000. I find it hard to believe that they built 1,000 of these as this is the only one I have ever seen. It's a tiny knife, just like its 475 Mini Mentor sibling. Too small for my big hands. What differs it from the Mini Mentor is the Choil/Tang area which is formed for a chocked up hold. A related knife is the 477 Caping Knife with a guthook. The last picture shows a 475 Mini Mentor, a 474 Caping knife, and a 477 Caping knife.

It's a great series. I don't have a custom but you can't get one with this coating. DM

Oh K,

The AG series knives from Cabelas are some of my favorite Buck knives. That coating + the S30V blade just can't be beat IMHO. One of my EDC's is a Rosy AG 110.

Well Desoto that's at least two of the AG Caping knives as I have one I purchased at the Cabela's in Kansas City Missouri.

John, I didn't know those last 2 models were offered as Alaskan Guide models through Cabela's. Handsome models and nice photos. DM

I really like the middle knife!

Very nice. Here are a couple of old pictures. I no longer have the Vanguard :( as I went away to another brand exclusively for fixed blades for a couple of years:(. The Vanguard was an AG but stripped. My next one will keep the coating. Middle AG was edc for several years but for the past year hasn't seen much carry, but feel I might have to remedy that as I miss it.

AG 110 stag taking care of a doe.

Guys keep them coming as I'm loving it.
