Is there a difference in the 1820 and 1820HC?

Just wondering.

I've seen boxes that just say 1820 and others that say 1820HC. The 1820 is what, 14c28n?

So, what about the 1820HC? Is it the same thing?

Saw one a friend of mine had bought and remembered how much I loved that little knife. Great assisted opening too.......snaps open like it means it.


PS--- In the event that IS the same thing.............I would LOVE to see a Needs Work composite blade with a cutting edge in ZDP-189, S110V, CPM-M4, Elmax, or M390

I believe the 1820HC was a version of the 1820 done in 420HC steel. I want to say that these were made for Amazon along with the 1670HC blurs.

Bleh...........I'd much rather the 14c28n.........why do I keep seeing the HC's selling for more?
