Is there a difference. . .?

I was wondering if there is a difference between the Spyderco Fred Perrin Fixed Blade Knife and the Spyderco Fred Perrin Fixed Blade "Bowie"??

I just ordered a Fred Perrin "Bowie", but have also seen what appears to be the same knife advertised elsewhere without the "Bowie" designation.

Just a question that I (and others) may have.

Thanks in advance!

A lot of people, including myself, find that the handle on the Fred Perrin Bowie just doesn't feel right. This is due to the abrupt drop off of the deep finger choil. On the other hand, the finger choil does provide a very secure grip, and in my opinion this makes up for the awkward feel. There are better feeling handles, but at least the Perrin Bowie has a secure grip, and that is more important to me than a good feeling handle.

Hey WT....

Actually I love the feel of the Spyderco Perrin Bowie..
I think it is a very comfortable knife..

I do agree that is a very secure knife in the hand....

Heck, I've never handle a fixed blade that felt better in my forepaws that the Spyderco Perrin! Definitely among most verstatile and well designed knives ever produced.

Glad to know there are people out there who find the handle on the Perrin Bowie comfortable. I don't and have read complaints by others, but I still like the knife overall.
