I log into the forum, and if I step away for a bit, or check email for awhile, I get kicked off in that I have to re-login. I am not talking hours but a relatively short time--from what I can tell, less than an hour. Is there a time-out value that I can set, or is that a forum set value? Or is this a function of how many people logged in?? Thanks.

Is there a forum idle time out that logs you out?

I believe it's 15 minutes although you can click the box that says "remember me" when entering username and pw and you should stay logged in unless the time between your visits is long enough for the cookie to expire.

Clicking the "remember me" box will keep you from having to log back in, but you will still lose sight of what was "newly posted".
I like to look at a number of sections and I like to see which ones have new posts. I lose that when I am away from the computer for more than 15 min. The only posts marked as new are the ones newer than the time when the cookie expired.
