Also curious how you clean a folding knife you'd use for cutting up small game. Or is it just best left to the fixed blade? I have a benchmade rant but it's big and was looking for something smaller. Also was hoping for an EDC all in one if it exists. Thought about he mini-griptillian but don't know. Thanks.

Look up the kershaw energ 2. it has a 3.5 inch sandvik 13c26 blade, gets very sharp, and slices like a beast. they are discontinued, but they are available if you look for them. (kershawguy.com)

KaBar Dozier Folding Hunter. Three diffrent sizes...pick your favorite. Great, inexpensive, drop point folder.

I would suggest frame locks (super easy to clean) with decent bellied blades.
- Boker M-Type
- Boker Hyper

Thanks (everyone). I really like the look of the boker's blade. The hyper is the right size. Also never seen a handle that looked like that before. Looks easy to clean.

Lion steel SR-1 Ti simple, has framelock lockout for safety and very tough and comes with the take down tool for easy cleaning.

There are a few options from Buck, they have the Omni Hunter folder which comes in a variety of handle choices with or without the gut hook blade. I know they are offered in 420HC and 12C27Mod Sandvik stainless steel, not sure about S30V. You also have the Ergohunter folder series which comes in either 420HC, 12C27Mod Sandvik or S30V. I own the Omni Hunter folder though I have never used it on game, it's a good little knife that is not too cumbersome in the pocket. I'm sure there are more expensive options out there but for the dollar amount and the Forever Buck warranty provided they are good bang for your(sorry for the pun) Buck... Trevor~

Sanrenmu 710 would be one to consider. It's made in china, 8cr13mov blade steel and has a framelock. I got one for under $7 shipped. It feels like a $30 knife to me. Looks easy enough to take apart to clean. The whole knife is metal as well, so I imagine sterilizing the whole thing wouldn't be a problem.

Personally I'd go with a small fixed blade like an ESEE Izula. Way easier to clean.
